The proposed solution offered was MPI Tech’s workflow manager ScopIOM, a powerful Enterprise Document Workflow Automation solution providing the proper tools to schedule, manage, and control the processes associated with all aspects of your documents (from document creation to document delivery using multi-channel communication [mail, email, SMS…] and archiving/storage). ScopIOM is now collecting all various files and documents from different places at set times using various protocols (hot folder, FTP…).
ScopIOM automatically detects the file type and which processes should be associated with each document. ScopIOM and its related programs will index the incoming job or batch of jobs, detect the beginning and the end of each mail piece, separate the smaller mail pieces (which will be tri-folded) from the larger ones which fit in larger envelops and when needed, move the address bloc in the document to fit within the envelop window; relevant datamatrix barcodes, that will provide required information for the post-printing sorter/inserter (Bluecrest Rival) are added on each page to assure that the mail piece that is inserted in the envelop is complete and accurate.
All information relative to special processing or printing of the jobs (i.e., job ticketing) is stored and applied at the time of print (whether in PostScript or PDF).
ScopIOM runs on Windows virtual machines and can be configured as a load-balanced solution.
The core functionality offered by MPI Tech was precisely what was needed to meet their specific requirements. The software’s ability to dynamically separate jobs by customer record and seamlessly incorporate a 2D barcode required by their inserter revolutionized their printing processes.
